The long-awaited food hall is planning a “late 2020” debut
Lyric Market, the food hall that’s been in the works for Downtown Houston since 2017, is finally expected to open this year.
US Property Management, the real estate firm behind Lyric Market, announced in a press release that it had selected Hospitality HQ, a national food hall management company, to “curate and manage” the vendors that will eventually end up at the forthcoming food hall. No vendors for Lyric Market have been announced just yet, but it is currently accepting applications from interested restaurateurs via its website.
This is the third major change-up for Lyric Market’s operations. Originally, Houston’s own Clark Cooper Concepts was tapped to helm the project, but the group parted ways with US Property Management in May 2019. After the deal with Clark Cooper fell through, Colicchio Consulting was hired to handle vendor curation. Now Hospitality HQ, which operates Prather’s on the Alley in Washington, D.C. and Brooklyn’s Alta Calidad, is in charge.
The current opening timeline for Lyric Market is “late 2020.” Stay tuned for more details on its vendors and opening date.
